The Ledger is the same material as the Forge Table, rearranged by date instead of temperament. I keep it for readers who arrive with a month in mind — "something from September," or "that note about the market stairs" — and prefer a list to a grid of cards. Nothing here is comprehensive. Tale Forge is a small site maintained by one person between kopi runs and laundry cycles.

Recent months hold the notes I still think about when I pass the places they describe. Earlier months may grow as I transcribe older notebooks, though I make no schedule for that work. Dates reflect when a note was published here, not necessarily when the observation occurred — though for most entries the gap is a day or two at most.

If a title is missing from this list, it has not been written yet. I do not backdate posts to fill gaps. The Chin Swee note remains pinned in November 2025 because that is when I chose to publish it, not because the view from my window is new.

The Ledger is also a confession of limits. Six notes are not a archive of the neighbourhood — they are six afternoons I happened to write down. Tiong Bahru contains more stairwells, more void decks, more market conversations than I will ever capture. I list what exists here so you know what is available, not what is exhaustive.

Start anywhere. Dates are for sorting, not for urgency.
